Ingredients

  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
  • 3 c. pecans, chopped

Method

  • Combine in saucepan both sugars, water, corn syrup, vinegar and salt.
  • Turn control to highest setting to bring mixture to full boil, stirring constantly.
  • The second the mixture boils, turn the control to "off."
  • Let stand for 3 minutes without lid. Do not stir during these 3 minutes.
  • Immediately stir in vanilla, butterscotch morsels and pecans.
  • Stir until morsels are dissolved.
  • Drop by spoon on wax paper.
  • It will look thin.
  • Work fast and have everything ready because this hardens fast.
