Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 stick margarine or butter
Method
- In large boiler, stir sugar, syrup, baking soda and milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat until mixture turns a rich brown and reaches soft ball stage (stir constantly).
- Remove from heat and add nuts, vanilla and margarine.
- Continue to stir until mixture begins to cool and thicken.
- Drop spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
