Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
Method
- Cream butter; add sugar gradually.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Combine dry ingredients.
- Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
- Begin and end with flour mixture.
- Stir in vanilla. Bake in a 13 x 9-inch pan at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until pick comes out clean.
