Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 5 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar.
- Add flavorings.
- Add eggs, one at a time; beat well.
- Add alternately the measured flour and milk.
- Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325° in round pound cake pan.
