Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 c. half and half or whipping cream
- 1 tsp. each lemon and vanilla flavoring or 2 lemon or 2 vanilla
- 3 c. flour (self-rising)
Method
- Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time.
- Beat in flour and half and half (alternate).
- Add flavoring.
- Cook in 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours.
- Double for two cakes; freeze one for later.
