Ingredients

  • 4 med. potatoes, peeled and cut lengthwise in 1/4 inch slices
  • 1 or possibly 2 lg. carrots, sliced or possibly cut into 1/4 inch slices

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prepare vegetables (a) and put in bottom of large casserole or possibly 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inch pan.
  • Trim fat (b) from steaks and brown them on both sides.
  • Combine (c) in small saucepan, bring to a boil.
  • Spoon 1/2 of (c) mix over vegetables.
  • Add in (b) on top.
  • Spoon rest of (c) on top of (b).
  • Cover.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, then, if you like, uncover and bake 10 minute more.
  • Serves 4 to 5.
