Ingredients

  • 1 pt. yellow cream-style corn
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 7 slices day old bread
  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 c. hot water

Method

  • Put corn in mixing bowl.
  • Add onion, egg, salt and sugar; mix. Cut bread in cubes; add to corn mixture to make stiff enough to hold shape.
  • Brown chops; salt to taste.
  • Drain off excess fat. Divide dressing into 6 parts; heap one part on each chop.
  • Pour water around chops, not on dressing.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour in covered dish.
