- 8 lb. dry navy beans
- 1/3 c. salt
- 4 qt. tomato juice
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 large onion
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 lb. bacon or wieners
- 3 c. white sugar
- 4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 26 oz. bottle catsup
Method
- Soak beans overnight.
- Cook beans until soft.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients together.
- Cook a few minutes, then add to soft beans and mix well.
- Put in jars and seal.
- Cold pack 1 1/2 hours.
