Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1 tbsp. poppy seed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
- 1/3 c. butter, cut into chunks
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
Method
- In large bowl, stir together flour, baking pwdr, poppy seeds, salt and thyme.
- Mix butter till mix resembles coarse cornmeal.
- Pour in lowfat milk; stir till dough is proportionately moistened.
- Drop dough in 1/4 c. portion about 1 inch apart in a greased 9 inch round baking pan.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 18 min.
- Makes 8 large biscuits.
