Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 box poppy seed
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 egg whites, beaten stiff
Method
- Sift dry ingredients and set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg yolks.
- Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream, vanilla and poppy seed.
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in ungreased angel cake pan at 350° for 1 hour.
- Do not frost.
