Ingredients
- 1 c. persimmon pulp
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. flour, sifted
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. sweet milk
Method
- Add all ingredients to the persimmon pulp in order given.
- May add nut meats and/or raisins.
- Pour into greased mold and cover tightly.
- Set in pan of water and steam 1 hour at 350°.
- Serve hot or cold with your choice of sauce, ice cream or whipped cream. May add chopped dates, too.
