Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
- 1 egg
- 34 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 34 cups brown sugar
- 2 12 cups very hot water
- 1 cup coconut
Method
- Cream the first two ingredients together.
- Add egg and milk, then stir in flour and salt.
- Pour this into a 9x12 pan (ungreased).
- Mix the topping ingredients together (brown sugar, water and coconut) and gently pour over cake mixture.
- Bake in a 375F oven on the midlde rack until golden brown.
- Serve hot or warm with vanilla ice cream.
