Ingredients
- 1/2 head cabbage, coarsely sliced or shredded
- 1 small potato, peeled and diced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 lb. Polish sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
Method
- Place sliced cabbage in crock-pot.
- Toss with diced potato, salt and caraway seed.
- Add sliced onion and Polish sausage. Pour chicken broth over all; stir lightly.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 10 hours (high setting for 2 to 4 hours).
- Serve with boiled new potatoes.
- Makes 4 servings, 3 1/2 quarts.
