Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. oil

Method

  • Mix yeast with warm water.
  • Combine flour, salt, yeast-water mixture and oil in a large bowl.
  • Turn out onto floured board. Knead for 5 minutes (until dough is soft but firm).
  • Cover and let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  • Punch down and roll out.
  • Place a little corn meal in pie pan before placing dough in pan.
  • Add ingredients. Sprinkle a little oil on top of ingredients.
  • Bake in a 425° oven 30 to 40 minutes.
