Ingredients

  • 1 Duncan Hines pineapple supreme cake mix
  • 1/2 c. butter/margarine
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple slices, drained
  • cherries

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Melt butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan.
  • Arrange pineapple slices on sugar; put cherry halves in center of each slice.
  • Prepare cake as directed on package.
  • Turn batter over fruit and spread evenly. Bake at 350° for 43 to 48 minutes.
  • Let stand 5 minutes to set topping.
  • Loosen cake from pan; turn upside down on platter.
