Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 (20 oz.) can sliced or tidbit pineapple
  • walnut halves
  • maraschino cherries
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix with pudding

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Melt margarine in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and arrange pineapple, cherries and walnuts over the margarine.
  • Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
  • Pour batter into pan.
  • Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly in center, 45 to 55 minutes.
  • Immediately invert pan on heatproof serving plate.
  • Cool completely.
  • Top with Cool Whip.
