Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix (eggs and oil as per cake mix directions)
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 can sliced pineapple
- 1 jar whole maraschino cherries
Method
- Mix cake according to package directions.
- Place pan on burner to melt butter (low setting).
- Stir in brown sugar (enough to completely cover bottom of pan).
- Distribute pineapple slices. Place one cherry in each slice.
- Spread cake batter evenly over mixture and bake until inserted toothpick comes out clean, approximately one hour, at 350° or according to cake mix directions.
