Ingredients

  • 1 pineapple supreme cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 (20 oz.) pineapple slices, drained
  • red maraschino cherries

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in bottom.
  • Arrange pineapple halves on top of sugar.
  • Drain cherries and slice in half.
  • Put cherry slices on top of each pineapple slice.
  • Mix cake according to directions.
  • Pour over fruit fruit and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 45 to 48 minutes.
  • Loosen cake from pan and turn onto platter.
