Ingredients
- 1 large ripe pineapple
- 1/3 c. honey
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/3 c. butter
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
Method
- Remove leafy top of pineapple and reserve.
- Cut pineapple lengthwise into 8
- wedges.
- Cut
- off
- core
- of each wedge, then slash vertically
- 1-inch
- apart
- down
- to but not through skin. Heat butter
- in
- small
- saucepan on grill until melted. Add honey, lime
- juice
- and
- ginger.
- Brush
- cut
- surfaces
- of pineapple with the lime
- juice.
- Place spears on the grill for 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes and brushing with the lime mixture.
