Ingredients
- 3 lb. ground beef
- 3 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 6 to 8 tsp. chili powder
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 cans chili beans (optional)
- 2 qt. home canned tomatoes or 4 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
Method
- Saute onions, green pepper and garlic in melted butter.
- Add meat and cook until brown.
- Drain off fat.
- Add other ingredients and simmer slowly 3 to 4 hours.
