Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. ice water
Method
- Use enough
- water to make a soft dough.
- The softer you can handle
- the dough the better the crust.
- This makes enough dough for 5 or 6 pies.
- If the scraps get too dry and stiff to roll, just
- work a little water into them.
- They will still be flaky if rolled thin.
