Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 1/2 sticks oleo (not soft kind)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sifted cake flour or 1 3/4 c. regular flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- confectioners sugar
Method
- Combine sugar, softened cream cheese, oleo and vanilla, mixing until well blended.
- Add eggs; mix at low speed of electric mixer until blended.
- Stir together flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add flour mixture to cheese mixture, mixing at low speed until blended.
- Pour into lightly greased and floured angel food pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
- Let cool about 5 minutes before removing from pan.
- Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar.
