Ingredients
- 1 lb. round steak, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 c. hot cooking oil
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt and pepper
- 2 tomatoes, wedged
- cooked rice
- 1 c. (1 inch strips) green pepper
- 1 chopped onion
Method
- Brown steak in hot oil.
- Add garlic and cook until yellow. Add soy sauce, salt and 1/2 cup water to steak.
- Cook 25 minutes. Add green pepper, onion and celery to mixture.
- Cook 10 minutes more.
- Blend cornstarch with 1 cup water and stir into mixture. Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes more.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
