Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • flour
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  • Cut round steak into cubes. Coat with flour, salt and pepper. Brown in oil. Add onion and juice from tomatoes (reserving tomatoes). Add Kitchen Bouquet and water. Simmer 50 to 60 minutes. Add bell pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces. Add Worcestershire sauce. Cook 10 minutes. Add tomatoes. Cook 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
