Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in strips
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
- 2 c. water
- 2 medium green bell peppers, cut into thin strips
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Method
- Cut
- meat
- into thin strips. In skillet heat shortening and brown
- meat, turning frequently. Stir in onion soup and 2 cups water.
- Cover
- and simmer 30 minutes. Stir in peppers. Simmer, covered,
- 10
- minutes
- or until meat is tender. Blend cornstarch with
- 1/2
- cup
- water.
- Stir
- into skillet.
- Cook, stirring, until thickened. Serve over rice or noodles.
