Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. smooth peanut butter
  • 1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 (12 oz.) box corn or rice Chex cereal
  • 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 large paper grocery bags (place one bag inside the other)

Method

  • Pour powdered sugar into the doubled grocery bags; set aside. Empty the box of cereal into a large bowl; set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt margarine, chips and peanut butter, stirring constantly.
  • When thoroughly melted, pout the mixture over the cereal and mix well to coat each pieces.
  • Immediately pour the cereal into the grocery bag and fold down twice.
  • Shake and turn the bag several times until cereal is coated with sugar.
  • Makes 4 quarts.
