Ingredients

  • 4 stalks celery
  • 1 onion
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 56 ounces tomato sauce
  • 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon rosemary fresh
  • 1 tablespoon basil fresh
  • 3 cloves whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  • Chop first 3 ingredients and sauce in olive oil until tender.
  • Add remaining ingredients and simmer slowly, covered about an hour. In a crockpot probably 2-3 hrs. on low.
  • If desired, blend until smooth.
  • Add chicken or meat cook until done. The chicken and meat have the best flavor!
  • Top with fresh parmesan grated cheese.
  • Dried spices can be substituted. Use half the amount of fresh.
