Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. hickory-flavored natural liquid smoke
  • 1 1/2 tsp. water
  • 1 1/2 lb. boneless pork shoulder, trimmed of fat
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce of your choice
  • 6 Kaiser rolls
  • creamy cole slaw
  • fresh parsley sprigs

Method

  • Brush pork on both sides with mixture of liquid smoke and water.
  • Arrange on rack in shallow roasting pan.
  • Roast in 350° oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours, until cooked through.
  • Heat barbecue sauce.
  • Slice pork; arrange on rolls, spooning warm sauce over and top with your favorite cole slaw.
  • Garnish with pickle chips and parsley sprigs.
  • Serves 6.
