Ingredients
- 1st Layer:
- 1/2 C. butter
- 1/2 C. oleo
- 1 C. brown sugar
- 2 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2nd Layer:
- 5 eggs
- 1 C. sugar, added gently
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 C. dark corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 C. pecans, coarsely chopped
Method
- 1st Layer:
- Mix together until blended. Pat into a cake pan 9 x 13. Bake 10 min. in 350 degree oven.
- 2nd Layer:
- Beat eggs and add sugar gradually.
- Add vanilla, dark corn syrup, salt and nuts.
- Pour egg mixture over baked mixture. Bake for 15 min. in 350 degree oven. Turn oven down to 275 degrees and bake 20 min. more.
