Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- About 1 c. pecan halves
Method
- Cream butter, gradually add in sugar beating till fluffy.
- Add in egg yolks one at a time beating well after each addition.
- Stir in flavorings.
- Combine flour, baking pwdr and salt.
- Add in to creamed mix and beat well.
- roll dough in 1 inch balls.
- Place about 2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet place a pecan half in the center of each cookie.
- Bake at 300 degrees for about 10 min or possibly till lightly brown.Cold on wire rack.
- Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
- I use minced pecans an mix into the batter.
- The dough handles better if allowed to chill.
