Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
  • dash of salt
  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 4 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c. powdered sugar

Method

  • Combine sugar, Karo and salt. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Blend in peanut butter. Stir in cereal.
  • Pat evenly in a foil lined pan.
  • In small pan, melt oleo and brown sugar. Remove from fire. Add milk and vanilla. Beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Remove cookie mixture from pan.
  • Peel off foil and spread top with icing.
  • Chill and cut in small bars.
