Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or cashew butter
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons low-sodium teriyaki or soy sauce, or to taste
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons rice vinegar or white wine vinegar, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Cayenne pepper or any hot sauce, to taste, optional

Method

  • Combine all the ingredients in a food processor with 1/2 cup water.
  • Go easy on the hot stuff, unless you definitely want a spicy sauce.
  • Process until smoothly pureed.
  • Heat gently in a small saucepan and use as desired.
