Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 c. canned milk
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 6 oz. jar marshmallow
  • 2 lb. pkg. confectioners sugar
  • 1 (6 oz.) jar peanut butter (smooth)

Method

  • Melt margarine in a saucepan.
  • Stir in brown sugar and cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Add milk and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, peanut butter and marshmallow.
  • When melted, add peanuts (chopped), then beat in confectioners sugar.
  • Mix until hard to stir and confectioners sugar doesn't blend in anymore.
  • Put in a pan and spread with a spoon.
  • Chill until firm, then cut into squares.
