Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 c. peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 2 large eggs

Method

  • Sift flour with baking soda.
  • Cream butter or margarine, gradually adding sugars and creaming until very light and fluffy. Blend peanut butter into creamed mixture and then beat in the eggs. Stir in flour mixture.
  • Form dough into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Flatten slightly with tines of fork. Bake in 350° oven for about 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Makes about 5 to 6 dozen.
