Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white Karo
- 1/4 c. water
- 12 oz. peanuts
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. soda
Method
- Combine sugar, Karo and water.
- Stir over low flame until sugar melts.
- Turn flame higher and cook until it spins a 6 or 7-inch thread (238°).
- Add peanuts and cook slowly until it turns to a golden brown.
- Remove from heat.
- Add vanilla, salt and soda. While still foaming, pour on a greased cookie sheet.
- Cool and break into pieces.
