Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. salted peanuts
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Combine sugar, corn syrup and water.
- Mix well; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
- Continue cooking, stirring occasionally until mixture reaches 285°.
- Remove from heat at once; stir in nuts and butter.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until it reaches 295°.
- Remove; add vanilla and baking soda.
- Stir to blend.
- Pour onto well-buttered sheet.
- When cold, break into pieces.
