Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine or butter, melted
- 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. dark corn syrup
- 1 egg
- 2 c. salted peanuts
Method
- Heat oven to 375°.
- Line jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch) with waxed paper.
- Beat butter and sugar.
- Mix in flour, syrup and egg.
- Stir in peanuts.
- Spread in pan.
- Bake until light brown (about 25 minutes).
- Loosen layer from sides of pan.
- Invert onto wire rack.
- Carefully remove paper.
- Cool.
- Break into pieces.
