Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar and 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening or vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. smooth peanut butter
- 1 egg or Egg Beater
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- approximately 48 Hershey's candy Kisses
Method
- Combine all ingredients except candy Kisses.
- In large bowl, mix on lowest speed with electric mixer or by spoon until dough forms.
- Shape dough into balls, using a rounded teaspoonful for each.
- Roll balls in granulated sugar, then place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes; don't overbake. Top each immediately with candy Kiss; press firmly so cookie cracks around edges.
- Let cool.
