Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. butter (just melted not hot)
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 3 1/4 c. miniature marshmallows (marshmallow cream doesn't work as well)
  • 2/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 2 c. peanut butter chips
  • 2 c. salted peanuts
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies

Method

  • Mix first three ingredients.
  • Press into ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
  • Bake 12-15 minutes or until it turns light brown at 350°. Remove from oven and sprinkle miniature marshmallows on.
  • Return to oven for about one minute.
  • Remove from oven and flatten slightly with spatula.
  • While the above is in oven; heat corn syrup, margarine and peanut butter chips until melted over low heat.
  • Add salted peanuts and Rice Krispies.
  • Spread over cake and marshmallow mixture.
  • Let cool and cut into squares.
