Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. lemon Jell-O (small)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 pt. boiling water
  • 5 qt. cold water
  • 1 c. crushed pineapple
  • 1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
  • 1 bottle ginger ale
  • 1 (46 oz.) can additional pineapple juice
  • 1 large carton orange sherbet

Method

  • Dissolve Jell-O and sugar in boiling water.
  • Add cold water, crushed pineapple and 1 can pineapple juice; mix well.
  • Pour into plastic gallon milk jugs; do not fill completely to allow for expanding.
  • Freeze.
  • Set jugs out 1 to 2 1/2 hours or until mixture is mushy.
  • At serving time, add ginger ale, sherbet and additional can of pineapple juice.
