- 2 pkg. lemon Jell-O (small)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 pt. boiling water
- 5 qt. cold water
- 1 c. crushed pineapple
- 1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
- 1 bottle ginger ale
- 1 (46 oz.) can additional pineapple juice
- 1 large carton orange sherbet
Method
- Dissolve Jell-O and sugar in boiling water.
- Add cold water, crushed pineapple and 1 can pineapple juice; mix well.
- Pour into plastic gallon milk jugs; do not fill completely to allow for expanding.
- Freeze.
- Set jugs out 1 to 2 1/2 hours or until mixture is mushy.
- At serving time, add ginger ale, sherbet and additional can of pineapple juice.
