Ingredients
- 1 large bag frozen hash browns
- 1 to 2 pt. sour cream
- 1/3 c. milk
- 6 green onions, including tops, thinly sliced
- 3/4 to 1 lb. Cheddar cheese (sharp is best)
Method
- Partially thaw hash browns.
- Place in a large bowl.
- Add sour cream, milk and onions.
- Salt and pepper liberally.
- Shred cheese.
- Mix in with potato mixture, reserving about 1/2 cup to sprinkle on top.
- Place in a 9 x 12-inch Pyrex dish.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated for a day or two.
- Bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour.
- Great reheated or can be frozen after baked.
