Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (12 oz.) jar chili sauce
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 (10 oz.) jar grape jelly

Method

  • Mix ground beef, eggs, salt and pepper; shape into very small balls.
  • Combine chili sauce, lemon juice and grape jelly and place in a large 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  • Add uncooked meatballs and bake, covered, at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Remove cover from pan the last 30 minutes of baking.
  • Transfer to chafing dish and serve hot with toothpicks.
  • Yield:
  • 30 to 40 meatballs.
