Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
  • 3 or 4 large baking apples or 1 can pie sliced apples
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Method

  • Pare, core and quarter apples, then halve each quarter crosswise to make chunks (approximately 7 cups) or use pie sliced apples. Place in large bowl. Combine sugar, flour, and nutmeg in cup. Sprinkle over apples; toss to coat well; spoon into pastry shell, drizzle with lemon juice.
