Ingredients
- 1 qt. oysters
- saltine crackers
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped fine
- salt
- pepper
- butter
- milk
Method
- Place oysters in layers in baking dish alternately with cracker crumbs and seasonings, onion and celery.
- When dish is full, add the oyster liquor and sufficient milk to moisten.
- Cover with crumbs; dot with butter.
- Bake in 350° oven for about 1 hour. The last 10 minutes, turn oven up and bake until cracker crumbs are browned golden.
- Serve hot!
