Ingredients
- 2 to 3 lb. fryer
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. shortening
Method
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Cut chicken into pieces.
- Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper.
- Coat chicken with flour mixture.
- Heat butter and Crisco in oblong pan in 425° oven until melted.
- Place coated chicken (skin side down) in pan.
- Cook uncovered 30 minutes.
- Turn chicken over.
- Cook uncovered about 30 minutes longer.
