Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. pickling salt
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 7 c. thinly sliced cucumber
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 c. green pepper, thinly sliced
Method
- Combine sugar, white vinegar, pickling salt and celery seed in a saucepan and bring to a boil until syrupy.
- Let cool.
- Mix the cucumber, onion and green pepper in a glass or plastic bowl.
- Pour the syrup over all.
- Cover and refrigerate.
- Stir once a day for 5 days. Put into smaller containers and freeze.
