- 3 Tbsp. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 3/4 tsp. chili powder
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Heat until dry ingredients are dissolved thoroughly.
- Line a shallow baking pan with foil.
- Place pieces of chicken on the foil.
- Pour sauce over chicken, making sure each piece is coated with sauce.
- Seal foil. Place in oven heated to 500°.
- Cook for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 300°.
- Bake about 1 hour or until chicken is tender.
- Baste every 20 minutes for more barbecue flavor.
- If desired, foil may be opened for last 20
- minutes to make chicken slightly crispy.
