Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
  • Heat until dry ingredients are dissolved thoroughly.
  • Line a shallow baking pan with foil.
  • Place pieces of chicken on the foil.
  • Pour sauce over chicken, making sure each piece is coated with sauce.
  • Seal foil. Place in oven heated to 500°.
  • Cook for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 300°.
  • Bake about 1 hour or until chicken is tender.
  • Baste every 20 minutes for more barbecue flavor.
  • If desired, foil may be opened for last 20
  • minutes to make chicken slightly crispy.
