- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of hot sauce
- 6 c. torn romaine lettuce
- 5 c. torn iceberg lettuce
- 1 1/2 c. orange sections
- 1/4 c. slivered almonds, toasted
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 c. cooked, crumbled bacon
Method
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a jar.
- Cover tightly and shake vigorously until well blended; set aside.
- Combine next 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
- Pour dressing over lettuce mixture immediately before serving; toss gently.
- Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
- Yields 4 to 6 servings.
