Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of hot sauce
  • 6 c. torn romaine lettuce
  • 5 c. torn iceberg lettuce
  • 1 1/2 c. orange sections
  • 1/4 c. slivered almonds, toasted
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 c. cooked, crumbled bacon

Method

  • Combine first 5 ingredients in a jar.
  • Cover tightly and shake vigorously until well blended; set aside.
  • Combine next 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Pour dressing over lettuce mixture immediately before serving; toss gently.
  • Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
  • Yields 4 to 6 servings.
