Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tsp finely grated orange peel
- 2 Tbsp orange juice
- 2 Tbsp Champagne vinegar
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped onion
- Dash pepper
- *2 Tbsp sugar
- *2 Tbsp (heaping) orange marmalade
- 2 tsp triple sec or other orange liquer
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup salad oil or light olive oil
- 1 tsp poppy seed
- *OR 3 Tbsp sugar, omit marmalade
Method
- Whirl first 9 ingredients in a food processor. Add oil in slow stream and blend until thickened. Stir in poppy seed. Let stand 1/2 hour before serving or chill for a couple of days. Bring to room temp before using.
- *Note the possible replacement of orange marmalade with extra sugar if desired.
- Serve over leafy green salad and/or salad with fruit.
