Ingredients
- 1 can (6 oz.) light tuna in water, drained & flaked
- 1 c. chopped unpeeled apple
- 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 4 slices bread, toasted
- 4 thin slices (2 oz.) Monterey Jack cheese
Method
- In a bowl, combine tuna, apple, onion, mayonnaise, lemon juice and pepper.
- Spread on bread.
- Top with a cheese slice.
- Broil about 4 inches from the heat for 4 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Yield:
- 4 sandwiches.
